DEVLOG 10


HI ALL! an update to the project, i was gonna do a video, but it would be a lot more code then anything special so i felt it was unnecessary, so imma just do text for now! SO lets get started with the more tedious stuff, i was able to get about 3 to 4 solid days worth of work on this game, about 7 hours was messing around on a seperate project to test and experiment with random idea. An annoying bug i discovered, or caviet is certian 3D sprites tend to merge through the rooms i made, issue im gonna figure out and fix but i did found a weird cheat, so the tree no longer merge through, of course gonna find a way to fix the thing as  whole as that would be easier in the long run as any 2d objects in the map would be colliding with textures on walls in a weird annoying way, maybe if i can figure out how to code the levelblock so that i can manually change ONLY certian blocks priority so said object wont be seen through walls and wont collide then i would do that, anyone that knows godot coding can have a look here ( https://github.com/Reun-Media/godot-levelblock ), if u know GDSCRIPT and know how to allow changing the blocks sprite render priority then that be helpfuk be doing slight tweaks to map, adding lights or subtle lights to certian parts, still didnt add the assets in as i was busy with too many errors, honeslty as much as im getting more confident this engine is weird in terms of coding, or more my unity brain fighting in terms of what be "logical"

ANYWAYS down to the actual good stuff! COMBAT is practically done, got something that works now, and i been trying to make scripts to be as reusable as possible, like i did remaking the monster girl template, remaking the combat roles so its MUCH EASIER to add her special ability or unique effects, only issue was making the group list as it was seperate but i found a way that it will work too :D just building that up now! AND LASTLY the more higher quality map assets being made by an artist is nearly done, she has been doing an incredible work on them so far and cant wait to show her stuff! and lastly various fixes or changes, like player height, player FOV and been getting advice from other dungeon crawler devs... surpisngly robust community not gonna lie.
