DEVLOG 9!!!!


HI ALL! an update yet again!

as i prepare to go to college i been putting more time and effort into game dev!

SO here is all the reports, theirs no images but next devlog ill get some 

COMPLETE rework of forest textures, an artist friends said first looked like brains so i rechanged them with new art, what u all think? someday id prob get a better texture artist but for now this is what i can do

animated movement to the character, forward walk and sidestepping

"fixed" a weird floor line bug.. mostly it was a cheat fix but it fixed now

GOT a dialogue system done, a system that makes my life easier... not perfect as i still need to tinker more inneffeciantly when making whole new dialogue BUT it works now

FINISHED based layout of tutorial world, when get assets ill spruce it up alot more

currebtly figuring out weird sprite disseapearance bug, not an issue

and now getting on with remaking the combat ON the field... now this one is interesting, as when i was making it, i cam across two problems 1 being when battle starts if too close to a side the sprites would merge throygh walls ugly, 2 if too close to a block near a wall, it doesnt look natrual... i fixed both problems AND MADE IT autonomous so no matter what the battle will ALLWAYS start with the enemy sprite having a block clear to fight on and the player looking at an empty slot instead of face on a wall :D

Also may do a theory later on as i been offered a possibility to do masters in my college.. meaning more money i can use for gamedev... still thinking about that... if i would, would i delay to spend extra time on this? idk, a later thought down the line.

that should be all! ill give an update at some point the end of the month as im gonna focus on college and my small gameboy metroidvania protoype game!
