a random log on this uni game


AIGHT, am bored and having a break from uni so i decided to install and play this

HOLY HELL there is SO MUCH wrong from this game i can improve so much on...

the scope and size, feels way too big and unneccesary gave me less time to add details to sections, combined with too many long harrowing hallways

the real time lighting is such a burden and waste of gpu power, i coulda achived the same graphical lighting results if not better for baked lighting and also made this more accessible, funny thign was at the time I did that with the challenge of making it as gpu friendly with all the lighting.

the models coulda been improved or i shoulda been more open to asset prefabs im annoyed that i made myself reuse wall and floor textures in such a silly way to achive the visuals i wanted, also wondering how i even achived a terribly made pc boards.

the game has bugs, in fact bugs i still hadnt figured out when i did a quick check in engine, like the inviswalls, still no fecking clue

the bugs where the ai goes through walls, thught i fixed that


the issue of repeating atmosphere music on top right of the map... coulda randomised it


the bug of the eye not opening when a certian bot... still no clue prob needed to be rewritten


the stamina system... now this is intresting, i liked the idea, the max stamina and the player overexerting in a sprint, degrades it, it went down too quick WITH no way of repairing it making it tediouis then more fun...


and kaskty the ending is bugged out... i thought i fixed it before abandoning it apparantly not :)



the simple AI roaming and the doom like spritesi liked, the atmospehre and graphics i enjoyed and liked, and the premise was ok

this is just more a personal look back, i learnt alot and will still be learning more as i continue my development on my games, hopefully i will never make a mess as bad as this...
